We are looking for a CNC programmer to program a new bar feed lathe. What this person will be doing is doing programming with both G&M Code and Conversational programming. They will need to be able to adjust feeds and speeds and ultimately make sure that the parts are being met to proper specifications. They must be able to know how to read prints and figure out how to solve problems. Their toolroom/ CNC department only has 5 machines in it. So if all the machines are running properly they will spend their day out talking to the assembly team trying to figure out how they can streamline production and make things more cost effective for the entire team. Ideally this person will have some experience with dual spindle machines.
Beyond just doing CNC programming, this person will learn how to in the long run do die work/ die maintenance. If this person has some experience working with manual mills/lathes or small punch presses that would help them in this space. Most of their tooling in made with tool steal.
Shift: 1st shift 7:30am-3:30pm
Location: Michigan City, Indiana
