Responsible for quality programming of CNC machine tools.
Produce precision, close tolerance parts, through use of current Mastercam program and personal training.
Program new parts, using best practices.
Run and “prove” new programs.
Help machinists troubleshoot problems with machines and/or production runs.
Document parts run on CNCs.Creates and maintains tool list for CNCs.
Reduces number of tools used, reprogramming as necessary.
Seek ECOs to simplify processes.
Participates in Kaizen events.
Provides CNC training to machine operators.
Submit Kaizens for improvements. Strive to eliminate waste from processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma
5 or more years CNC Programming experience
2+ years current CNC Programming on Mastercam X7 or later version
CNC machining experience and a willingness to attend and successfully complete a certified CAD/CAM training program designed for the current CAD/CAM package.
Requires a thorough understanding of blueprints, a dedication to quality, commitment to lean practice and the ability to work as a team member.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:30am -4pm
